Historical Costumes
Costume entry to the Patterns of Fashion Award 2021. Placed in the top 6.
The entirety of this costume is handsewn using historical methods and features a pleated petticoat and Italian gown with the bodice lined in linen. Basic 'timeless' men's shirt, inspired by vampire mythos of raising from graves. Because of this I decided to break it down with acrylic paint, coffee & tea, and used sandpaper to rough up and create holes within the garment.

16th century menswear. A modern reconstruction of the parade garments of Elector Moritz von Saxony.
This costume was constructed using duchess satin silk, velvet and cotton and silk lining. There is an extraordinary amount of slashing and punching throughout the whole costume but is seen predominantly on the sleeves |
Fantasty Costumes
Cosplay of the character "Takko" from the podcast "The Adventure Zone". Designed by myself. The character becomes more extravagant as the podcast progresses so to highlight such a change in appearance I wanted to highlight his beginnings with an earth toned colour pallet with hints of red, tying into his past as a "red robe".

Contemporary Costumes
Ice skating full bodysuit from the anime "Yuri on Ice". This costume consisted of 4 different stretch materials. A black scuba that makes up the majority of the costume, flesh toned lycra and stretch net for the back and arms, and lastly a stretch knit that was dyed both pink and red.
For ease of use for eating and going to the bathroom, I made the hands into removeable gloves and placed the zip in the front so it can be put on and taken off by one person. |
